I wasn’t supposed to go to the spa yesterday but when my mom and my godmother told me they’d treat me to a massage, the spa-lover in me couldn’t resist. The next thing I know, I was inside the car with them and off we went to Sesitra Day Spa located along Aguirre Ave. in BF Homes Paranaque. The facade was okay. It’s a normal-house-turned-commercial-establishment that littered the major streets of BF Homes. I noticed there were a few other cars parked outside and another one was leaving. I take that as a sign for a fabulous - and relaxing - time. It’s not the time to think about top rated diet pills or even the subjects I yet have to review. It’s my “me” time.
We were greeted by a cozy, darkened interior with the relaxing scent of an essential oil burning somewhere. I tried to recall what it smelled like. Probably rosemary or lavender, I ain’t really sure. The elders (they’ll kill me for this. hehe) went on with their business and we were ushered to a room with three massage beds which were separated by curtains. It was rather cold. I had to ask one of the masseuse to adjust the airconditioning unit but she failed to do so. Luckily for the cold-intolerant me, my mom switched beds with me so that she and my godmother could have a little chitchat. She was surprised herself of the presence of the beds. Apparently, the first time they went there, she had to be massaged on the floor so she thought that was how things go there. We were then told that sometimes, they had to resort to doing that when the rooms are all occupied.
The swedish massage lasted one hour. The place got rave reviews from both my mom and my godmother but I honestly think it was so-so. But probably that’s because I don’t find my masseuse good enough (nobody has ever beaten that masseuse from Excelsior Spa in Tomas Morato - the sad thing was I couldn’t remember her name!). For P350, getting to relax for an hour is more than affordable enough. Too bad I forgot to get a list of their services, but according to this listing, they also offer bodyscrub, facial, footspa, tai-chi, yoga and thai yoga therapy.
So what’s the spa-addict’s verdict?

-The massage was pretty cheap at P350. They don’t have a sauna though. Too bad for those who love the sauna like me.
So you think I should go back there? Probably. But I’d more likely to go spa-hunting around the next time.
