Saturday June 7th, 2008 16:18 Xeeber Alternatives Part II

Xeeber is still down and I don’t think it’s going back up again any time soon. Anyway, I’ve been receiving hits from people looking for a Xeeber alternative after I shared one of online discoveries (Magic’s Yahoo! Status Multichecker) that I thought of looking for other alternatives online in case this one faces a problem in the future. I was actually quite surprised because there were indeed a lot of other YM status checkers available out there and the good majority of internet users hardly knew they existed.

Anyway, I’ve done my research. Here are some Yahoo online status checkers available for free. I’ve tried them and they’re working perfectly well as of this post. They’re all able to tell if the Yahoo ID entered is online, offline or invisible. Those italicized can even display the YM ID’s avatar.

Invisible Scanner

Invisible.ir

Not as accurate/reliable. It tags a lot of offline Yahoo IDs as “invisible” when they’re actually offline. Gave me a “Server is Busy” message countless of times. What’s cool with this tool is that it’s able to tell you if the Yahoo ID is just a profile or a main ID. If it’s just a profile, it will give you the person’s main Yahoo ID.

YDetector

Yahoo-Status

Not as accurate/reliable. It tags a lot of offline Yahoo IDs as “invisible” when they’re actually offline.

That is acquiring a little additional subjective, but I much choose the Zune Market. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool functions like ??Mixview’ that let you speedily see connected albums, songs, or other customers related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of these will center on that merchandise, and an additional set of ???neighbors??¨¤ will come into view, allowing you to navigate about exploring by comparable artists, songs, or end users. Talking of end users, the Zune ???Social??¨¤ can be good enjoyable, letting you obtain others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can hear to a playlist created according to an amalgamation of what all of your pals are listening to, that is also enjoyable. These concerned with privacy is going to be relieved to know you are able to avoid the public from seeing your individual listening behavior should you so choose.
